Independent web designer & developer
Thoughtful design, clean code and practical support for businesses that want a sharp website without unnecessary layers.
Design that explains itself. Code that behaves. WordPress without the landfill. AI visibility without magic tricks. Built for real-world use. Fewer moving parts. Details that earn their keep.
What I do
Work directly with me or bring me into an organised project workflow. Either way, design, development and technical decisions stay close to the person doing the work.
Clear structure, strong typography and a visual identity that fits the business rather than this month’s trend.
Fast, maintainable front-end work and sensible WordPress builds without stacking twenty plugins on a simple problem.
Updates, speed work, security checks and rescue jobs for websites that have quietly become a bloody mess.
AI-assisted web work
I actively follow how AI tools, search systems and development workflows are changing, and I use them every day for research, planning, debugging, content structure and the careful acceleration of repetitive work.
The useful part is not merely writing a clever prompt. Years of designing, building and repairing websites give me a clear idea of what the result should achieve, how the user journey should flow, where a build can fail and which questions the system needs to answer.
I turn loose ideas into priorities, constraints and a sequence the model can follow instead of hoping one vague prompt produces something useful.
AI can explore options, inspect code, refine content, shape schema and reduce repetitive work while the project keeps a clear human direction.
I review security, accessibility, performance, browser behaviour, factual accuracy and maintainability before anything is treated as finished.
AI is an assistant, not the person signing off the work. I do not accept output because it sounds certain; I test it, challenge it and improve it.
Selected work
A cross-section of commerce, local business and independent product work. The visual language changes from project to project because the audience, content and commercial job change too.
E-COMMERCE / HI-RES AUDIO / DIGITAL DELIVERY
A specialist storefront for studio-grade pink-noise recordings. Formats, intended uses and technical specifications are organised into a calm buying path, with immediate access to the audio after checkout.
E-COMMERCE / LUXURY CANDLES / BILINGUAL
A bilingual boutique for small-batch candles made in Tuscany. Restrained product photography, scent-led stories and uncluttered navigation create a premium atmosphere without making the route to checkout feel precious or complicated.
E-COMMERCE / NICHE FRAGRANCE / EDITORIAL
An editorial-led fragrance shop shaped by Mediterranean botanicals and landscapes. Collections, ingredients and brand narrative are layered into an immersive presentation, while the commercial journey stays direct and unobtrusive.
BUSINESS WEBSITE / LOCAL SEO / LEAD GENERATION
A practical lead-generation website for a small construction company working in Kralupy nad Vltavou and nearby towns. Clear service pages, local relevance and prominent enquiry routes help prospective clients quickly understand the offer and take the next step.
WOOCOMMERCE / EDUCATIONAL CONTENT / B2C & B2B
A knowledge-driven WooCommerce store for biochar, compost activators and soil-improvement products. Detailed guidance reduces uncertainty for home gardeners, while the structure also supports professional buyers and more involved orders.
WORDPRESS / DIGITAL PRODUCTS / DOCUMENTATION
A deliberately lean catalogue for focused WordPress and WooCommerce tools. Documentation, pricing and free downloads are arranged around usefulness, privacy and quick decisions rather than sales pressure or interface noise.
I am Milan, an independent designer and developer. Work with me directly, or through a project manager who turns client feedback into clear priorities and keeps the process moving. Either route works: the work stays personal, organised and accountable.
Direct conversation or a well-organised brief both work. The important thing is that decisions, priorities and responsibilities stay visible.
I work comfortably alongside project managers, designers, marketers and client teams. Clear responsibilities and tidy handovers keep everyone moving in the same direction.
Launch day is easy. The real test is whether the website is still pleasant to manage on an ordinary Tuesday six months later.
A sensible process
The exact route changes with the project and the people involved, but the logic stays simple: understand the problem, organise the important decisions, build carefully and leave you with something pleasant to own.
Goals, audience, content, awkward technical details and the client-side priorities that need sorting first.
Clear directionStructure, copy priorities and visual direction are resolved before decorative nonsense gets a vote.
Design logicResponsive behaviour, performance, accessibility, SEO details and the small touches that make it feel finished.
Working websiteYou get a manageable site, a practical handover for whoever owns the next step and direct support when Tuesday eventually does something stupid.

Have a project?
New website, redesign, strange WordPress problem or a shop that has become difficult to live with—send the messy version. We can make it clearer.
Start a conversation
You do not need a polished brief or a list of technical requirements. Tell me what should exist, what is broken or what is becoming annoying.
Direct communication. Your message goes to me, not a sales queue.
Usually answered within one working day. No automated chase sequence afterwards.
